The valley of the river Chew in north Somerset is one of the beauty spots of England. But how many words can you think of that rhyme with Chew? A standard rhyming dictionary lists several hundred.

Last year poet and composer Jolyon Laycock, and artist and illustrator John Gully, produced “Persons from Chew”, a collection of illustrated limericks using as many rhymes as possible to depict eccentric and improbable persons living in the valley.

This year Jolyon thought of some more limericks and again asked John to bring them to life with amusing cartoons. The result was “More Persons from Chew”.
